c. Field Technician (1 Position)
- Conduct field measurements and data collection for agricultural research projects.
- Collect and record data on crop yields, soil moisture and other Agricultural parameters
- Assist in crop planting, irrigation and harvesting
- Maintain and repair field equipment such as tractors, plows and irrigation systems
- Work closely with researchers, farmers and other stakeholders
- Comply with regulations and laws related to agricultural research and practices
- Diploma or Degree in the relevant area

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic lecturer to teach historical theology courses at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate will have expertise in the history of Christian thought, theology, and doctrine.
- Teach courses in historical theology, including surveys of church history and specialized courses on specific topics or periods.
- Develop and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials.
- Assess student work, provide feedback, and participate in student advising.
- Contribute to departmental service and committee work.
- Engage in research and publication in the field of historical theology.
- PhD or Masters in Historical Theology or related field.
- Research expertise in historical theology
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
b. Lecturer in Practical Theology
We seek a dynamic and experienced lecturer to teach practical theology courses, focusing on the application of theological principles to contemporary contexts.
- Teach courses in practical theology, including homiletics, pastoral care, and missiology.
- Develop and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and workshops.
- Supervise student placements and projects.
- Assess student work and provide feedback.
- Engage in research and publication in practical theology.
- PhD or Masters in Practical Theology, Theology, or related field.
- Experience in ministry
- Strong teaching and research background in practical theology.
- Ability to integrate theory and practice.
c. Lecturer in Biblical Studies
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic lecturer to teach Biblical Studies courses at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate will have expertise in biblical languages, exegesis, and interpretation.
- Teach courses in Biblical Studies, including Old and New Testament surveys, biblical languages, and specialized courses
- Develop and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials
- Assess student work, provide feedback, and participate in student advising
- Engage in research and publication in Biblical Studies
- Masters in Biblical Studies, Theology, or related field. PhD will be an added advantage
- Strong teaching experience and evidence of effective pedagogy.
- Research expertise in biblical languages, exegesis, and interpretation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
5. College Librarian
The successful candidate shall be responsible for managing the Lakeview College library, as well as providing Information services and supporting academic research. The successful candidate shall perform the following duties
- Provide strategic and administrative leadership in the College Library
- Demonstrate vision and empower others in order to deliver the agreed strategy of the library
- Support teaching and research by providing overall co-ordination of all matters relating to the Library in liaison with Dean of Academics and Faculty
- Develop partnerships with other academic research libraries, regional and national library associations
- Oversee the modernization and functional e-library services of Lakeview College
- Maintain and promote the efficiency and good order of the College Library
- Initiate development of academic and professional programs related to library services in liaison with relevant schools
- Masters' degree in Library and information Science from an institution accredited or recognized under the National Council of Higher Education (NCHE)
- At least five (5) years' experience in managing Academic Library.
- Proven experience in collection development, arranging, referencing, and circulation services
- Good knowledge of library management systems and online databases, with a focus on those programs on offer
- Proven ability to work independently and manage library operations efficiently
- Committed to learning and development to keep abreast with the changing academic administration environment.

1. Human Resources Officer
The Human Resource Officer reports to the Director of Finance and is responsible for personnel functions including following:
- Assist in recruitment by soliciting candidates through advertisements, jobs postings, and industry contacts.
- Maintains employee service records (retirement plan records) for all employees (salaried and hourly rated).
- Handles retirement counseling and applications
- Designs instruments for appraisal, promotion, and deployment of staff and faculty in liaison with the Dean of Academics.
- Reviews staff salaries, terms/conditions of service and other related benefits and recommendations any changes which can promote performance.
- Processes and coordinates leave applications, e.g. annual, sick, compassionate, etc. and maintains proper records pertaining to the same.
- Processes terminations and retirements and any other related issues.
- Receives, interprets and implement current labor regulations from the Central and Local Governments; educates the workers and provides linkage for the same.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or a related field
- Minimum of 4 Years of professional experience across all HR disciplines, including employment, benefits, compensation, training and development, employee relations, worker's compensation
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent English report-writing skills.
2. Accountant
The Student Finance Manager is responsible to the Chief Accountant. His/her duties and responsibilities are to:
- Prepare students` cash withdrawals.
- Review students` accounts and clear for registration.
- Ensure student billing is timely and accurately done.
- Raise necessary journal vouchers and memos.
- Attend to student queries on financial matters.
- Raise cheque requests that affect students` accounts.
- Reconcile students' accounts as assigned.
- Keep track of all students' fee payments.
- Keep track of all student debit/credit memos originating from Malawi Union Office.
- Prepare and keep track of student's charges to be debited to sponsoring organizations and ensure collection on a timely basis.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 5 years experience in a busy accounting office
- Good computer skills with ability to work with spreadsheets, accounting software package
- Experience with SunPlus Application
- High level of discretion, ethics, integrity but also a quick learner
3. Library Assistants (2 Positions)
- Cataloguing: assist Dewey decimal classification numbers to new or old books that have the incorrect number
- Shelving: assist putting books back on the shelves at closing time. Mark on the back page a small pencil mark to show that book has been used in the library
- Newspaper/serials-responsible for newspaper and serials (when we have some). Record every day in the exercise book if the papers arrived or not (we need to keep track of them as we are paying for them). Keep the serials table clean and tidy, change the display when possible.
- Checking in and out of library materials (understand how circulation desk works) make sure that LMS-KOHA is well conversant.
- Information officer: assist users to find information they are looking for using knowledge of collection and the Dewey Classification Scheme. If the information is not in the collection, inform the Librarian so that it can be borrowed
- Certificate in Library and Information Science and
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
4. Pastry Chef
The main responsibilities include planning menus, overseeing the kitchen staff, and ensuring that the food meets high-quality standards. The successful applicant, among others, shall perform the following duties:
- Baking: Prepare baked foods, such as breads, cakes, cookies etc.
- Decorating: Decorate pastries with sauces, toppings, and other items
- Recipe development: Research, develop, and test new recipes
- Equipment maintenance: Maintain baking equipment
- Clean premises, and wash kitchenware
- Plans menu for regular and special functions
- Observe food preparation procedures and safety regulations
- Follow proper nutritional practices in the preparation of menu
- Ensure strict sanitation procedures in the preparation of food
5. Hot Line Cook
Primarily responsible for cooking hot dishes on the stovetop or grill, ensuring food is cooked properly, seasoned correctly, and presented attractively, while adhering to food safety standards and managing their designated cooking station efficiently
- Cooking hot dishes: Preparing a variety of hot dishes like steaks, pasta, stir-fries, grilled items, and other menu items according to recipes and specifications.
- Prepare, cook and serve food
- Clean premises, and wash kitchenware
- Plans menu for regular and special functions
- Observe food preparation procedures and safety regulations
- Follow proper nutritional practices in the preparation of menu
- Ensure strict sanitation procedures in the preparation of food
- Certificate in Food Production or Hotel and Catering Supervision or Tourism Management obtained from a recognized institute of higher learning. Those with a Diploma are encouraged to apply
- Familiar with new technology in food preparation
- Those with work experience in an education institution will have an added advantage
- Ability to communicate with staff and students in English
